Nicole Bonner, M.S. MFT-IT

She/her/hers

Psychotherapist and Lead Service Facilitator

Nicole is a born and raised Wisconsin-ite who has lived and worked in different areas of the state. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UW- Eau Claire and spent several years working in the mental health field before going back and completing her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College. Nicole has always enjoyed working with the adolescent and young adult population, including those with significant mental health and behavioral needs. She was initially drawn to working in the mental health field to help encourage people to be able to talk about mental health in ways that our culture doesn’t always expect or allow. She still wants to work with her clients to de-stigmatize mental health and being able to accept and love ourselves for who we are and with whatever needs we might have.

Nicole’s work experience includes a variety of settings and populations within the broader mental health and development disability fields. She also completed her internship hours doing in-home therapy and working on CCS teams. Nicole incorporates aspects of DBT, CBT, and narrative based approaches in her work and loves the systems-based approach that CCS and in-home or community based therapy can provide. Her areas of clinical interest include neurodiversity, anxiety, internalized stigma, parenting and co-parenting struggles, and young adult launching.
