Emilie has been serving the Dane County community in the mental health field as a clinical social worker and case manager since 2011. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from UW–Madison, with a concentration in Mental Health.
Emilie brings experience to her role including working in psychiatric care teams, residential treatment programs, community corrections settings, as well as with survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. She is trained in the Community Support Program model and grounds her work in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based perspective. In addition to direct service work, she also carries experience in mental health program development and implementation.
As Program Director of Wings, Emilie leads a team dedicated to providing comprehensive, team-based care for youth and young adults experiencing first episode psychosis. The program is rooted in recovery-oriented values, with a strong focus on placing each young person, and their chosen support system, at the center of their care. Emilie is a passionate advocate for the message that psychosis is treatable, that early intervention matters, and that people living with psychosis can and do lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.
What Emilie values most about her work at FLYY and Wings is being part of a dedicated, compassionate team. She is deeply committed to multidisciplinary collaboration, building trust, and meeting people where they are.
Born and raised in Madison, Emilie enjoys spending free time with her family and taking advantage of the variety of outdoor adventures the community offers year-round.
