Liz began her career as a Professional School Counselor and spent 10 years in public education, where she developed a deep passion for supporting the mental health and well-being of the entire school community through collaboration with students, families, and school staff. In her current role, she enjoys partnering with clients, families, schools, and community resources to expand access to support, promote inclusion, and foster personal empowerment. Liz graduated from UW-Madison with her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.
Liz’s work is person-centered and grounded in empathy and cultural responsiveness. She approaches therapy with the belief that healing happens in relationships where individuals feel seen and heard. Liz works collaboratively with clients to identify their goals and supports them in understanding patterns that impact their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. She integrates a variety of modalities, including: mindfulness, somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, CBT and DBT. Her approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based with an emphasis supporting a brain-body connection.
Liz works with adolescents through adulthood and finds it especially rewarding to support clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, and the impacts of trauma. She enjoys working with neurodivergent individuals, clients exploring identity, those navigating parenthood and caregiving, and people experiencing life transitions. Liz is particularly passionate about providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care and supporting all types of family structures. She strives to create a welcoming, supportive space where clients feel respected, empowered, and supported throughout their healing journey.
Outside of work, Liz loves to be active and outdoors with her family. She enjoys reading, dancing, running and sitting by the campfire year-round.
