Deanna Bennett is a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training (LPC-IT) who provides therapy to adolescents and young adults at FLYY. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mount Mary University and is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling honor society, as well as the American Counseling Association.

Deanna identifies as a queer Latina woman and brings a person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to her work. She is passionate about creating affirming spaces for LGBTQIA2S+, kink, ethically non-monogamous (ENM), and neurodivergent individuals, with a particular focus on those who are high-masking, including individuals with autism and ADHD. She supports clients in understanding their needs and building lives that feel more aligned and sustainable.

Her experience includes working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief, life transitions, and identity exploration, as well as advocating for gender-affirming care. Deanna believes that clients are the experts of their own experiences and strives to create a warm, open environment where people feel safe exploring all parts of themselves. Her work is strengths-based, collaborative, and integrative, grounded in curiosity and authenticity.

Outside of work, Deanna enjoys reading fantasy novels, playing video games, and spending time outdoors with her partner. She is also a proud pet owner to two dogs, four cats, seven chickens, and a horse. As a lifelong learner, she enjoys exploring new cultures and traveling whenever she can.
