Becky has spent the last 10+ years of her career working as a School Psychologist at the elementary and secondary levels after earning her Educational Specialist degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. While in this role she learned the value of working in collaboration with others towards a common goal.
Becky uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach when working with clients. She works with clients on identifying their unique strengths and needs so that any support plans are tailored to them. Becky also focuses on empathy and validation to meet client’s where they are on their healing path. Becky likes to highlight the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and actions when working on emotional awareness and regulation. She also incorporates client interests, games, and movement when learning and practicing new skills.
Becky likes being outside, reading a good book, as well as chatting with her friends and family. She is a big believer in the positive benefits being active brings to one’s mental health so you can find her going on walks, lifting weights, or playing sports. She also enjoys a good cup of coffee and a sweet treat.
