April Goss has over a decade of working in the mental health and substance use fields. She graduated from Marian University with her Bachelors in psychology and is currently licensed as a substance abuse counselor in training (SAC-IT). April also has her grief support specialist certificate through UW Madison. Early in her career, April worked with adults in a residential setting that specialized in mental health treatment until transitioning to working with both youth and adults in an outpatient community setting. Professionally, April enjoys helping individuals navigate complex systems, such as finding housing, mental health and substance use services and connecting people to other necessary resources. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals and their highest level of independence. April has been working in the CCS network as a service facilitator since 2015. 

April is a strong advocate for her clients and their needs. She has worked with many people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life and loves meeting people different from herself. April believes strongly in a strengths based, client centered approach and uses these models to guide her work. When supporting individuals experiencing substance use concerns, April employs a harm reduction response and tries to help them stay safe by making informed choices and providing education about treatment options. During her free time, April enjoys fishing, boating and spending time with her daughter and family.
