MJ is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned their bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Weber State University and their Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. They bring more than a decade of experience across community mental health, psychiatric care, correctional settings, and healthcare environments.
MJ’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that every individual carries strengths that can be identified and expanded, even during difficult seasons of life. Their work integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. MJ strives to meet clients where they are while also supporting growth in ways that align with each person’s values and goals.
When helpful, MJ incorporates humor and creative expression, including art, to make sessions engaging and supportive.
Outside of work, MJ is an avid reader and is always happy to recommend a good book. They also enjoy spending time with their wife and two dogs and will gladly share photos.
